Catnap and Mr. Bubblebeard LO's

Last night I only had 30 minutes to do some crafting...so I decided to challenge myself and create and COMPLETE a LO in that amount of time! I'm quite happy with the finished product:

Stamped flourishes, embellished w/ Copper Stickles. Photo is mounted on cork.

I made this page last weekend:

Used my Cricut and George cartridge to create title. CM Circle Cutters for lg. red circles.

EOB'S

You all know what an EOB is right? (Hopefully you are all blessed with health insurance)
Well, I was catching up on some filing, and decided to document the enormous stack of EOB's that have accumulated since Eli's birth. (Today he is 2 years and 5 months old.) I spread them out on the floor...but if I'd spread them out one by one, I couldn't have gotten them all into the frame! So, they are spread like decks of cards.

I was going to hold up a ruler to show the three inch stack...when Piper walked up and decided it would be a good place to hang out. So, you get an idea of the size of the stack by having a cat head by it right? hee hee

The EOB's are for doctor visits, hospital stays, therapy appointments, dietician visits, feeding supplies, equipment, and miscellaneous medical supplies.

Best estimate: he's almost the "1/2 Million Dollar Man"!

Scrapbook Layouts

I met a wonderful group of gals at a crop called Scrapgirls Express. We meet every other month for a day and a half crop. It's only about a dozen of us, and we have so much fun. Here is what I got done last weekend when I was there.

As you saw in a previous post, I got this adorable picture of Eli sitting in a chair. It was the first one I scrapbooked when I went to a crop last weekend. The background is from my Debbie Mumm calendar last year...I knew as soon as I saw it, I would use it in Eli's scrapbook, because it's the exact colors I use with most of his pages!

(this LO is a scraplift from hannakj at scrapbooks.com)
Tina shows Eli his flashcards when she is here, along with exercises, stretches, and a she does a feeding. She has been such a blessing to us. I am scrapbooking another page with a great picture of her and Eli and it will tell more about what an angel she is to us.

We never really get any pictures of Eli with his gifts BEFORE we open them for him. So, this year, when his Grandpa Jerry brought his presents over I decided to snap a few. It turned out great that he had his blue pj's on and the gifts were wrapped in blue. I've had these fun snowman and tree stickers for a while now, just waiting for the perfect LO to use them on!

Eli doesn't care for me to read to him. One evening Lon was holding him, and I handed him the book Goodnight Moon. (yeah - AFTER I glued the letters down on my LO, I realized goodnight is one word, not two. oh well.) Eli sat there contently listening, and it was so cute. This story will go on the moon....someday when I get around to it. :)
The adorable little red cheeck was because he was fighting a little bug...and sometimes it comes out on his cheeks when he is getting sick. He looks like a raggedy andy doll. I think I said that already when I may have posted this picture on my blog last summer.???

Mr. Bubblebeard

The scrapbooker in me had to grab the camera first, and THEN wipe his chin! haha

Wishing you all a blessed new year.

Not much to report right now. Just doing some scrapbooking this week. I love winter for that reason only. Staying warm in the house and crafting! :)
